Renaming Sacred Spaces - Indigenous Allies & Accomplices Training

Join Spirit of the Sun for an open training for allies and accomplices led by Indigenous leaders to learn how to work with Indigenous community members to advocate for renaming sacred spaces in what is called Colorado. Panelists include: -Crystal C'Bearing, Deputy Director of the Northern Arapaho Tribe's Tribal Historic Preservation Office -Fred Mosqueda, Arapahoe Coordinator for the Language & Arts Program -Renee Millard-Chacon, Xicana community educator and activist with Spirit of the Sun We will be discussing the efforts to rename Mt. Evans and Sq**w Mountain. Please come ready to learn and practice mindfulness, and invite your loved ones and others to involve them in these efforts as well!
